Man United vs Lens: Red Devils seal impressive 3-1 comeback victory on Old Trafford return

Posted by

Manchester United picked up a vital 3-1 preseason victory over Lens as the Red Devils made their return to Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag named a strong starting team, as United played their first summer game on home soil, but the hosts fell behind to a first-half wonder goal from Florian Sotoca as he lobbed Andre Onana from the halfway line.

However, United responded sharply after the restart, with three quickfire goals turning the contest on its head, as Antony slipped in Marcus Rashford for his first preseason goal.

Antony’s clever finish doubled United’s advantage, before Rashford’s towering header deflected off Casemiro, for United’s third.

Ten Hag is likely to rest the majority of his players who featured against Lens for tomorrow’s trip to Dublin as United face Athletic Club in their final preseason encounter.
