Meet Rondae Hollis-Jefferson: Kobe Bryant’s ‘clone’ takes the FIBA World Cup by storm.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson stole the show at the 2023 FIBA World Cup in The Phillipines during a group stage match between Jordan and Greece on Saturday. His playstyle and appearance are incredibly similar to the late great Kobe Bryant.

Hollis-Jefferson, 28, wears No. 24 for Jordan and dons an armband like Bryant did, but he also does the same moves and faces. While some people are just discovering him, others are much more familiar with his game.

He played in the NBA from 2015 to 2021 on the Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers.

In two years of playing college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, Hollis-Jefferson was McDonald’s All-American, First-team All-Pac-12, and more.

The Jordan Basketball Federation announced in July 2023 that Hollis-Jefferson, who was born in Pennsylvania, would be playing for them as a naturalized player.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo shines for Greece

Hollis-Jefferson may have gone viral, but Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Greece got the hard-fought victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did not participate in this year’s World Cup and his older brother is so far doing a great job in his place.

Jordan and Greece are both in Group C with Team USA and New Zealand, so Thanasis and Kobe’s “clone” could make further headlines.

Team USA defeated New Zealand 99-72, but it was a lot closer than the score would suggest.
