With Real Madrid’s work in the transfer market seemingly over as mere hours remain until the window slams shut, it appears a last-ditch attempt for Kylian Mbappe is off the cards.
Just a day ago, reports began to emerge that PSG had not received any offers for Mbappe and that the Parisians expected their star man to stay put for another season.
Now, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s president, has come out to deliver the final blow.
Al-Khelaifi is optimistic about Mbappe’s continuity
Claiming Mbappe’s loyalty to the Parisian colors, Nasser Al-Khelaif stated (h/t RMC Sport):
“Kylian Mbappé is a PSG player. We had very good discussions with him, he’s magnificent as a player, as a person, and as a professional. We’ve spoken with the rest of his family.”
Mbappe has stayed firm in his decision to not renew beyond 2024, and this did not initially sit well with the PSG hierarchy, which sought to offload him instead of losing him for free later down the road.
However, the two parties were able to find common ground, enabling the World Cup winner to stay in his final year.

As the president has publicly declared Mbappe’s continuance, any inkling of Real Madrid acquiring the Frenchman can be put to bed.
PSG will continue to persuade Mbappe
Meanwhile, Fabrice Hawkins has come out to report that Mbappe will end up staying at PSG and that the club hopes to extend their star man during the season.
With a new project and a newly assembled team, the Parisians aim to convince Mbappe to sign a further extension amidst the ongoing season.
For now, Real Madrid are unlikely to snatch the Frenchman this summer, yet the Merengues will be anxiously looking forward to next summer when Mbappe will officially be a free agent unless he ties the knot with PSG.
If he does renew, Real Madrid will end their pursuit of the 24-year-old for good and look at other options such as Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
