The Garden of Eden and the Four Keys For Dominating the Market Place

I spent years trying to study the world’s monopolists and rich people to learn the secrets of market dominance. Then one day, I heard Dr Myles Munroe preach on Genesis 1:28 and I was amazed at the clear ‘secrets’ for market dominance in one verse. I was stunned when I finally realized that God actually gave the recipes to dominate the marketplace to Adam and Eve all the way back to the garden of Eden!.

In Genesis 1:28 we see the secrets clearly revealed when God said to the newly created Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and multiply it and rule over every living thing that moves on the earth”. A careful reading of Genesis 1:28 actually contains the recipes for achieving dominance and monopoly in any business enterprise.

After learning the surprisingly simple steps, I checked every monopolist and market dominator’s practices against them and found that this is true in every industry or calling. Every successful entrepreneur who has achieved total dominance in their market follows these four steps. These four Keys are very simple to understand from the passage. Get these four Keys and you’ll open the door to market dominance in any industry!

#1: THE KEY TO BEING FRUITFUL – God’s first commandment to Adam and Eve was that they be fruitful. This is the beginning of market dominance. You must have an original idea. You have to create something new (fruitfulness is the products that come out of the hard soil above!). You can’t just be a copycat. There must be a specific area and a new method or new application of a product, idea or thinking. Microsoft. Apple.CNN. Walmart. Pastor Adeboye of RCCG. Kodak. AMAZON. GOOGLE. Ford, UPS and others are all innovators of new ideas or new approaches to what is already in place. Look at any industry leader. They bear fruit in a way that the market cannot deny. They are fruitful in an original way. They are productive in a new way. Everything starts and ends with an original idea. ‘Productivity’ is the first key to dominating the market. The question we all spend time answering in prayer and fasting is: What is my ‘fruitfulness’? What original idea did God give me? What new approach can I introduce to a crowded market? This is the first key. Without this key, the Kingdompreneur is destined for a life of mediocrity or mediocrity. Abundance cannot happen without ‘fruitfulness’

#2 THE MULTIPLICATION KEY- God told them to MULTIPLY. Reproduction involves copying and mass production of an idea. It involves creating a system that allows an idea to move from a prototype to multiple copies for consumption. It involves thinking beyond local or immediate use. This includes the idea being replicated in different offices, locations and mediums. Until you learn to multiply your ‘fruit’ or idea, you will not dominate the market. This is the second step in achieving market dominance. A look at the champions of every industry will attest to this amazing truth. Pastor Adeboye found a way to MULTIPILY the evangelism and church planting ‘fruit’ by creating the Model Parish system that transformed the RCCG church from less than 100 parishes when he became GO to over in 30,000 parishes with more than 12 million followers in just 20 years. Bill Gates took the market from IBM by finding better ways to reproduce the operating system. Ford took the automobile industry to another level and rose to dominance by mass producing cars that everyone could afford. Google revolutionized the advertising industry with its pay-per-click search engine that made internet advertising accessible to any computer in the world. Amazon took over the bookstore by globalizing the bookstore and making books available for everyone to buy around the world at the same time. You cannot become a dominator or a monopoly until you find a way to produce ‘fruit’.

#3 THE REPLENISMENT YEE- God then decreed that after Adam and Eve achieved fruitfulness and learned how to multiply, the next step was to REPLISH. Filling involves the distribution of the grown fruit to the final consumer. To become a dominant force, you must strive to control the distribution system. The multiplied product is worthless. Many great ideas never reach their potential because the creators are unable to master and control the source of distribution for the ‘fruits’, product or idea. This is the third inevitable Key to dominance in the market place for any entrepreneur. This key explains why an industry like Nollywood (Nigeria’s most vaunted movie industry) has yet to achieve the global collapse of its potential demands. We mastered the ‘productivity’ part (we pioneered and mastered the theater of low-budget films on cheap video cameras. This is so new that even Hollywood and bollywood are sending people to study in the event. I know because I met some of these shocked investigators from the US). We have also mastered the ‘multiplication’ part. You can generally do mass production of any quantity in Nigeria today with less than 30 days delivery time. Even with US antitrust laws, Microsoft continues to be the dominant force in micro computer software by systematically gobbling up new starters and disrupting their source of proliferation or enrichment. Bill Gates understands the power of beating the competition. After dealing with the productivity, reproduction and replenishment key, Gates spent years developing the final key. For years Bill Gates insisted that only his own operating system could be carried by computers that wanted it. Because of Microsoft’s proliferative and complementary capabilities, other companies have no choice. Similar strategy, Walmart spent years improving its filling skills before using the ultimate key to market monopoly to undercut every store in the retail business.

In fact ‘the rich get richer and the poor get poorer’ is actually a statement in the Bible! The first three keys are essential before you can use the fourth key to conquer the market. When the market is conquered, Domination becomes automatic. Of course getting to the fourth key is a long road for most of us at this time but we can definitely start working on the first key. We all need that new idea and that latest ‘productivity’ that will launch us down the road to market dominance.
